Jean Luc Koenig, one of the three luxembourgish photographers in this exhibition - Polaroids – Fonds de tiroirs - have opened their archives and made it possible to put together an exhibition on the theme of Polaroids.
It is about the experimental use of the medium's intrinsically limited technical possibilities. In a surprising way, the photographers have been able to go beyond the narrow framework of given specifications and steered their image-making process through various, sometimes quite individually developed processes, such as interventions in the time factor, chemistry or the carrier material. By using different, even rare camera models, larger formats than generally known can be found.
